My Philosophy of Teaching
I believe learning should be interactive, inclusive, and relevant. I design engaging sessions that connect theory to real-world practice through case studies, discussions, role-plays, and practical challenges. I use digital tools like Podcast, Crossword, Flashcard, Quizlet, Mentimetre, Kahoot, and Padlet to enhance participation and reinforce learning. My goal is to build students’ confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills, preparing them to thrive in a dynamic global business environment.
Diversity and Inclusion
My approach to diversity and inclusion centres on creating an academic environment that respects and values every individual while supporting their success through equal opportunities. Recognising the diverse backgrounds and learning experiences of both students and colleagues, I employ inclusive teaching methods that accommodate different learning styles and actively promote student participation. I ensure that learning materials and activities reflect a wide range of perspectives, making the content culturally sensitive and representative of multiple voices. This diverse curriculum helps students feel a strong sense of belonging and relevance. Flexible teaching strategies, such ascollaborative assignments combined with digital resources, are used to support accessibility and cater to varying needs.
Beyond classroom practices, I commit to ongoing professional development focused on equality, diversity, and inclusion to stay updated with best practices and institutional policies. I place great importance on actively listening to student feedback related to their experiences of diversity and inclusion, using these insights to refine and improve my teaching. By fostering an inclusive environment that values difference and removes barriers, I aim to empower all students to reach their full potential and contribute positively to the academic community.
